The Guelph Community Foundation (GCF) is available to anyone who would like to give something back to the community, and create a legacy to support the causes they care about. Donations are pooled into an ever-growing, permanent endowment fund and only the earnings generated through its investment are distributed as grants. Donors can be confident that a gift to The Foundation, no matter how small or in what form, is a gift that will continue to give for many years to come – in fact, forever.

How To Give
The Community Foundation offers a full range of gift-giving options including planned giving. Establishing a fund is simple and often provides significant tax benefits. Of course, a donor may always make a contribution (without establishing a fund) to one of the following general funds:
-GCF Children & Youth Fund
-GCF Community Fund
-GCF Environmental Legacy Fund
-GCF Operations (to support our operations for the work we do in the community)
Donate Online
You can make a credit card donation on-line through the Canada Helps website. Canada Helps allows charities, such as the GCF, to receive online credit card donations by providing a safe, secure environment for donors to make a contribution.
Once the donation is made online, a tax receipt is generated electronically and emailed to you. Your donation is then sent to the GCF, less their administrative fees.
Clicking on the Donate Now button will redirect you to CanadaHelps.org, where you can enter your gift. You will then be asked to specify what fund you would like your donation to go.
Donate By Mail
If you would like to send a cheque, click on the Donor Card in PDF to download a simple card that can accompany your cheque [it also has all of our mailing information]. Then just pop it in the mail and we will send you a tax receipt!
